Recap: For the first few rounds my goal is to get guys I call “30 pointers.” In a PPR (points per reception) league, 15 points is an average game. A non QB who can go off for 30 points a game is a luxury. These guys are game changers. When I was looking at the board, my selection was easy, my boy, Mr Johnson-OchoCinco-Ko himself, 85. Right now 85 is #12 scoring fantasy WR and if you have 12 teams in your league, that would mean that OchoCinco is a low-end WR1. Well that low-end WR1 is my third WR which gives me an advantage having 3 WR1s (Welker #2 overall WR, Fitz #6 overall WR) on my team. If they can stay healthy I could have a very explosive team. I’ll be targeting the best available player next round so I don’t really have a preference of what position I’ll be selecting in round 5. One thing I will do though is fill out my starting lineup before selecting backups. Having depth on your bench is nice, but bench players get you 0 points every week. There’s a couple of RBs I’m eying for round 5, but I’m not committed to anything. We’ll just have to see how the cookie crumbles.
