Tough week 14 question, but dance with the girl you brought
Hey John,
Was wondering if you could help me with a RB problem. I got what seems to be too many good backs and I know your supposed to play the matchup over the name, which three of these backs would u start? Ray Rice, Steven Jackson, Ricky Williams, Jaamal Charles or Rashard Mendenhall. Its also a .5 PPR league.

Great question. This is crunch time and I have one motto for this time of the year which is “dance with the girl you brought”. I’ve played FF for about 10 years and I’ve cost myself about 3 FF Championships by getting too cute this time of year. You have some great backs, but I would say the most trustworthy of those guys are Jackson, Rice, and Ricky, but Charles and Mendy have great matchups. In fact all of your guys are looking pretty good. I don’t think you can bench Jackson ever and Mendenhall’s matchup is too good to pass up on Thursday night vs the Browns. As far as the last spot, I’m very partial to Ray Rice because he’s carried my team this year and been a great value and he has a cake matchup vs Det in a must win situation for the Ravens. The Jags and Bills can also be run on so Ricky and Charles are good plays. This is a really tough decision. I would go with Jackson, Rice, and Ricky if you are playing it safe and go with Jackson, Rice, and Mendy to take a little gamble. I hate having to put him out, but it looks like Charles is the odd man out this week, but I would not be surprised if he had a 20+ game.Good luck my man!
