Call me Willie because I’m on the road again!

Well after a few days in Monterey, CA to visit family, I’m headed to SF for the Niners and Jaguars game tomorrow. It’s amazing what we can do with technology these days. I’m writing this from my iPhone as my friend Matt drives and attempts to freeze me out in the backseat. Someone should tell him that’s a game you play with members of the opposite sex in the car, silly Matt! But I digress… So it appears that my Danny Ware gamble didn’t pay off. It’s extremely frustrating because it looks like Michael Turner might play after all which is obviously a better route. Unfortunately it wasn’t announced that he’d be a gametime decision until after the Giants game had started. Don’t those assholes know that a fantasy championship is at stake here?! Now it’s hard to be completely upset considering a few factors. One, Ware led the Giants in rushing on only 4 carries while Jacobs’ fat ass got at least twice as many and couldn’t even get more than 20 yards. Plus Ware fumbled and suffered a concussion which are the two deaths of an NFL RB; turnovers and injuries. Not to mention the Giants uninspired performance on offense set offenses as a whole about 20 years and their running game could not take advantage of a Broncos’ defense which had given up almost 700 yards rushing in the last month.

The good news is I still have the rest of my team to play and while my hopes of winning have dwindled almost into the negative, there are stranger things that have happened in fantasy and I have seen some crazy stuff in the years I’ve been playing. So let’s hope I can get a miracle this week because in this league I’ve been on opposing end of a lot of miracles this year. In a future blog I’ll tell you about it but it includes losing to season best performances from the Eagles and Niners Ds, Miles Austin, and Randy Moss catching a 3rd TD after his team was already up by 40. At least if I lose this week it will be the league’s best team putting me out of my misery. :) I hope everyone is having a great weekend and I’ll catch up with you soon!
