Ready for some Turkducken or what? What to expect for your Thanksgiving fantasy matchups

Here’s my expectations for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving games…

Comprehensive Rankings (Note- none of the rankings are in a particular order and point expectations are based on point per reception leagues.)

QB1- must starts, expect at least 20 points

  • Aaron Rodgers, GB
  • Eli Manning, NYG

QB2- only play if your starter is out, expect at least 15 points

  • Daunte Culpepper, Det
  • Bruce Gradkowski, Oak (yes an Oak QB made the rankings)
  • Kyle Orton (if he plays)

RB1- must starts, expect at least 15 points

  • Ryan Grant, GB
  • Kevin Smith, Det

RB2- your #2 RB, expect at least 12 points

  • Marion Barber, Dal
  • Knowshown Moreno, Den
  • Brandon Jacobs, NYG
  • Danny Ware, NYG

RB3- I’d only start one of these guys if I had no other choice, expect around 10 points but don’t be disappointed if they come up small

  • Michael Bush, Oak
  • Justin Fargas, Oak
  • Felix Jones, Dal
  • Tashard Choice, Dal
  • Correll Buckhalter, Den

WR1- must starts, expect at least 15 points

  • Donald Driver, GB
  • Greg Jennings, GB

WR2- your #2 WR, expect at least 12 points

  • Calvin Johnson, Det (if he plays)
  • Miles Austin, Dal
  • Brandon Marshall, Den
  • Steve Smith, NYG
  • Mario Manningham, NYG

WR3- I’d only start one of these guys if I had no other choice, expect around 10 points. Some of these guys will have pretty good games, others will have you wishing they were never on your team to begin with.

  • James Jones, GB
  • Bryant Johnson, Det (if Calvin is out, otherwise he’s a WR4)
  • Dennis Northcutt, Det (if Calvin is out, otherwise he’s a WR4)
  • Chaz Schilens, Oak
  • Hakeem Nicks, NYG
  • Eddie Royal, Den

WR4- If I’m really desperate, I’d go with one of these guys and hope for the best. They’re super reaches for sure. Expectation is around 8 points.

  • Louis Murphy, Oak
  • Patrick Crayton, Dal
  • Roy Williams, Dal
  • Jabar Gafney, Den

TE1- must starts, expect at least 12 points

  • Jermichael Finley, GB
  • Brandon Pettigrew, Det
  • Kevin Boss, NYG

TE2- only start if your backup is out, hope for 10 points (in no part. order)

  • Jason Witten, Dal (if he plays)
  • Martellus Bennett, Dal (if Witten doesn’t play)
  • Tony Scheffler, Den

D1- Solid looking Ds, expect around 10 points (in no part. order)

  • Packers

D2- These Ds have matchup or talent issues, but could surprise, hope for at least 8 points (in no part. order)

  • Raiders
