Screw Waldo! Ware’s Danny?!

Sorry to interrupt Chris Johnson day, but this is important. Last Wednesday, I wrote an article about 5 RBs that could make a late season impact for your fantasy team. Well lately RBs are dropping like flies and because of that, 3 of those 5 RBs I talked about last week now have fantasy relevence. Earlier this week I mentioned that you should get Bills RB Fred Jackson. Today I want to talk about another guy I’ve had my eye on all season, Danny Ware.

Giants complimentary RB Ahmad Bradshaw has been nursing a foot injury most of the year and this last weekend ended up hurting his ankle on his other foot. He missed practice today and is doubtful to play Thursday vs the Broncos. Ware should step in in Bradshaw’s role. The Giants have hoped Ware would fill-in for the role that Derrick Ward had before leaving NY in the offseason but that hasn’t panned out. If Ware is given touches, I think he will do well and carve out a role for himself with or without Bradshaw. In deeper leagues, I would even consider starting Ware this week if I really needed him because he is playing a defense that has given up 675 rushing yards (168.75 yards per game) and almost 27 fantasy points per game to opposing RBs in that time. If you need a RB, get Danny Ware NOW!

Last week I also talked about Lex Hilliard. Now he didn’t get many touches last week but he was effective averaging 6 yards a carry, but what stood out more to me was that he caught 2 passes on 2 targets. This tells me he can be trusted in the passing game. Should Ricky Williams miss any time, I think Hilliard would be a great #2 fantasy RB. So if you have the roster room, get him before it’s too late.
