Earlier this week someone asked me if they should target Braylon Edwards this year because his stock will be down. That got me thinking, fantasy football consumers need an advocate to help keep them from buying lemons. Enter my newest feature, “The 2010 DO NOT DRAFT” list. Most sites will tell you to avoid or shy away from a guy, but few will tell you to completely stay away in case there’s a slight chance that player doesn’t disappoint, they don’t have to worry about their credibility. Well partners, I’m not that type of guy. If I’m not going to draft a guy, I’m going to tell you not to draft him. I don’t give out advice I, myself, wouldn’t take. Most of the players I’ll tell you to avoid will have a headache factor higher than a potential factor. I love taking risks, but some guys aren’t worth the risk or they’ve burned me before and I’ll never trust them again. Some guys I add to this list may surprise you and you may disagree, that’s fine, go ahead and draft them. I’ve never one to say I told you so, but just remember not drafting one of the guys that end up on this list will be for your own good. Don’t be a sucker, stay away from this list!
The first inductee to the 2010 DO NOT DRAFT list is… Braylon “The Dog” Edwards
New art courtesy of my homies over at Pyromaniac.com. If you have never been to their site, do yourself a huge favor and check it out. Their site is one of my favorites. Their latest commentary on Roy Williams is hilarious. They do awesome work over there. I’m currently working on a piece for them and will be launching a new site with them next month. It’s going to be epic. I can’t wait to tell you guys more about it over the next few weeks!

ROUND 13

Mock drafts are a tremendous way to prepare for your fantasy football draft. It’s May, but so what?! I’m ready to draft now! But before I get ahead of myself, I want to make sure I’m ready. In order to do that, I want to try and do at least 1 mock draft a day and work some different strategies to see which ones I like best for each draft position. I love WRs, but WR/WR isn’t always the best to take. I know that going RB/RB is the way to go given some drafts and I want to do enough mocks to know which combination I like best from each draft spot that way I don’t have a draft where I go for “value” every round and end up with a bag of crap. I also want to answer questions like, if I get AP 2nd, what kind of back can I get if I wait and don’t snag a back in the 2nd? I wait on QBs, but can I really pass on Peyton Manning in the 3rd round? With that in mind, let’s get it on!
Anonymous asked: the grey background with black font isnt easy to read JG fix that shit for us blind people
Thanks for your feedback. I changed the grey to a teal-blue color. I hope that makes it easier to see!

ROUND 12
Anonymous asked: I pick last in a 12 man ppr league and I want to got wr,wr with my first 2 picks. Wayne, and AJ, are normally gone who should I choose??
Wayne might be there but if not, I’d try to grab 2/4 of Austin, Moss, Marshall, Calvin.
I hosted my first podcast last night. I’m going to do at least 1 a week but want to try and do around 3 or so a week. In case you missed it you can listen to it here or download it on iTunes. I hope you enjoy it! You can also check out my regularly schedule show on Blog Talk Radio Thursday nights at 11pm pacific. www.blogtalkradio.com/fantasylion

ROUND 11

ROUND 10

ROUND 9
POSITION BREAKDOWN: 7 WRs, 5 RBs
My Pick: Pretty easy pick here. I was looking for another WR and I really like Antonio Bryant this year. The Bengals face a tough schedule, but Bryant has never had a QB as good as Palmer. He’s also never lined up alongside a WR as good as 85. Bryant has been inconsistent and injury prone at times, but let’s not forget that he was a top 10 WR two years ago with Jeff Garcia and no OchoCinco. I don’t think he’ll be a top 10 WR again, but top 20 isn’t out of reach. Laveranues Coles failed to fill the void left my TJ Houshmandzadeh, but Bryant should be able to bring the element back to the passing game that TJH left. Bryant’s bye week is different than the 3 starters I have so he’ll make a nice bye week starter or flex option. Finally, should one of my starters miss any time because of injury, I’d have no problem starting Bryant as an every week starter.
